Little Mix were formed on The X Factor in , after the four auditioned as solo artists in the competition. After being put into a group by Kelly Rowland on The X Factor in , the Little Mix girls rocked denim and trainers as they posed at the Judges Houses' stage of the competition.
Throughout their time on The X Factor, Jade, Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne stuck with the same 'colour and prints' theme for performances, each making an identify for themselves. After winning The X Factor ahead of Marcus Collins, Little Mix started to make an identity as a band, co-coordinating their outfits both on stage and at events.
One year on from their historic win on The X Factor, Little Mix returned to perform their brand new single, looking more grown up. All of the Little Mix girls have experimented with their hair colours, but in Perrie went for purple, whilst Jade was rocking the colour blue. Looking a lot more grown up, the girls started to wear a lot more custom-designed outfits on stage. Walking the red carpet ahead of their first ever BRIT Awards performance, Little Mix oozed glamour as they invited their mums along for the party. That same night the girls took to the stage in matching green and black outfits to give an incredible performance of their hit song 'Black Magic'.
After taking more of an interest in fashion, attending various fashion events with her band mate Jade Thirlwal, Leigh-Anne started to take inspiration, wearing this cute number for her birthday in Little Mix embraced the race driving theme brilliantly in when they performed at F1 Live in London.
The girls attended the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles in , rocking the red carpet with their different outfit choices. Whilst most fans loved their look, Jesy, Jade and Perrie were quick to mock Leigh-Anne for wearing her 'dressing gown'.
The girls went for a more retro look during a performance to their fans in Germany in At the launch of their amazing album 'LM5' in , Leigh-Anne, Jesy, Perrie and Jade looked casual and chic as they signed copies of their album for fans. The girls then changed into smart black and white suits for their first ever performance of 'Woman Like Me' with Nicki Minaj.
The girls donned a tonne of different looks on their 'LM5' tour, playing dates across the UK and Ireland. In November , Little Mix teamed up with clothing brand PrettyLittleThing to release their own clothing collection. Here they are looking super hot at the official launch party. After their Summer Tour was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Little Mix delighted fans by announcing a massive arena tour for Tickets for the shows are on sale now.
In December , Jesy Nelson announced she'd made the tough decision to quit Little Mix, after the band was having a negative effect on her mental health. Celebrating their 10th anniversary in style, the girls looked gorgeous and chic as they posed for the cover of their surprise album 'Between Us' , which was released on 12th November Following the news that Jesy Nelson had quit Little Mix the remaining three bandmates revealed they would be continuing as a trio.
The girls also revealed that in they will each be working on individual projects and opportunities. Leigh-Anne has launched her acting career , starring in a film called Boxing Day which will be out on 3rd December. At the end of October, Perrie launched her first ever fashion brand called Disora. Jade also branched out into solo projects, with the Geordie girl announcing in October that she's curated a pan eyeshadow palette for Beauty Bay. A source told The Sun the split was amicable and they're still good friends, but had just grown apart. Jesy vowed to remain single after splitting from her most recent boyfriend, actor Sean Sugar, at the beginning of this year. It was horrible, the worst time in my life.
Speaking to the Guardian , Jesy said: "I like waking up and knowing this day is just for me and I don't need to worry about anyone but me. Jade revealed she made the first move by sliding into Jordan's DMs when they celebrated one year together this May. In December , after nine years together, Jesy Nelson stunned her bandmates by announcing on social media that she was leaving the group.
